"Success occurs...when preparation meets opportunity."

Welcome to the Roving Reporters' Site, where it's all Seals, all the time!
'Bye A Team!
It is that sad time of year, the last dual meet!
Montclair was a good opponent, even though they did not have as many swimmers as us.  I think they were very kind and respectful.  Kelly Closs was given flowers by Hank and praised for her hard work!  She said, "I think Summit Seals A did an amazing job this season, and it was the best team I have ever been a part of!  I am going to miss my team!"
I will miss Kelly and everyone should wish her luck in college!
We will miss the hard work of each team captain and the parents who put forth so much effort.  Thanks to all of our team captains!
Girls A now has some ROCKIN' new tees that let everyone know "We got the party with us.....!!"

The Girls B Meet last Saturday against Somerset Hills was exciting and the first long awaited win for the team. Throughout the entire meet we were within a few points from the other team. Going into the backstroke events, we were only 2 points ahead! By the time the medley relays rolled around, we would have to win 3 of them to be victorious at the meet. The 9-10 and 11-12 relays pulled through with a win, leaving the outcome of the meet up to the 13-14 and 15-18 relays. The most exciting race of the meet was the 13-14 relay, who ensured the win for Summit! Evan O’Hara (backstroke), Emily Matsuda (breastroke), Kelly Delany (butterfly), and Lesia Olesnyckyj (freestyle) just edged out the Somerset Hills relay to win the first meet for Girls B! Congratulations to all of the swimmers.

“C” stands for captivating as the Girls C team makes another win.  Congratulations to the team as they add another really good meet to their record!  The Girls C team swam against Hunterdon County YMCA on December 1st.  A good job was done by just some of our winners like Paige McKenzie and Alex Zeto in IM, Erin Burke and Ashley Wu in Freestyle, Ariana Tsanas in Backstroke and Paige McKenzie in Breaststroke.  Lindley Hall and Juliana Ruta also won the Butterfly.  There were so many other winners – congratulations to all!!

This weekend’s meet, on Saturday the 22nd, was a blast for everyone.  Boys “A” won the meet 105-90 against Ocean County YWMC Tiger Sharks.  Although the number of kids on their team intimidated us, we came out ahead.  With 22 1ST PLACES (WOW!!!!!!!) we were sure to win.  The Summit Y Seals also blew the other team away in the relays with an A relay time of 2:28.51 and a B relay time of 2:42.40 for the 9-10s.  The Summit YMCA Seals are VICTORIOUS AGAIN!!!!

On December 1, 2007 the Boys B team traveled to Somerset Hills to face a good team.
