The Summit Area YMCA Seals Swim Team is a highly competitive swimming team, with strong roots in the values of the major YMCA ideals of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.  Our competitive try-outs are conducted each year to select talented athletes with a commitment for excellence to further enhance the character of our team and maintain the high level of achievement of the program.  All of the Sumit Area YMCA Coaches have teaching backgrounds and many years of experience in competitive swimming.

We will subdivide the athletes into 5 different Dual Meet Teams to afford ech swimmer the opportunity to compete o na regular basis within the level of their talents.  Our Dual Meet Teams are subdivided as Boys A and B, and Girls A, B, and C teams.  Each team will have its own dual meet schedule against other YMCA teams of comparable abilities.  We are also a registered USA Swimming organization, which affords us the opportunity for additional and varied competitions against a wider range of teams.
